FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering and can be used for making protective material against neutron radiation, as well as to detectors of gamma-radiation, which contain protective shell. Solid protective material from neutron radiation includes mixture of ingredients containing lithium fluoride, polyester resin and hardener in following proportions, wt %: lithium fluoride - 38-45; polyester resin - 54.2-60.8; curing agent - 0.813-1.2. Scintillation gamma-radiation detector has cylindrical housing (1) containing scintillation crystal (3) based on NaI, shell (2), photomultiplier tube (4) and (5) connectors for connection of electronic signal processing unit.
EFFECT: high absorption of neutron radiation and measurement accuracy while increasing uniformity and strength of protective material.
