FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for forecasting and control over carbide tool durability in production, application or certification. Summery: reference wear resistance tests are performed during cutting of materials that causes intensive adhesion wear at optimal or close to optimal cutting speed. Reference - correlation relationship “wear resistance - initial parameter” is plotted, static monitoring of input parameter value is performed only for current batch of carbide cutting tools and forecast of wear resistance for current batch of carbide tools based on dependence. As initial parameter is relative permittivity poly-oxide mass produced during oxidation of hard alloy cutting tools, with reducing of which wear resistance of hard alloy cutting tools of applicability group k is increasing.
EFFECT: high accuracy and reduced labour input at prognosis of wear resistance of carbide of tungsten-cobalt applicability groups k of cutting tools.
