FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for forecasting and control over carbide tool durability in production, application or certification. Testing is performed on change of initial parameter from properties of structure made during carbide tool manufacture. Reference wear resistance tests during cutting of materials that exhibit intense adhesion wear at optimal or close to optimal cutting speed, constructing reference-correlation relationship “initial parameter - wear resistance”. Statistical control is performed only input parameter value for current batch of carbide cutting tools, forecast of wear resistance for current batch of carbide cutting tools based on dependence. Initial parameter is value of concentration of hydrogen contained in oxide mass produced during oxidation of hard alloy cutting tools, reducing wear resistance of hard alloy cutting tools of applicability group K increases.
EFFECT: technical result is improved accuracy and reduced labour input when predicting wear resistance of hard alloy cutting tools.
