FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and concerns prediction and control of wear resistance of hard alloy cutting tools belonging to application group P on the basis of value of specific inductive capacitance of polyoxide mass, obtained during oxidation of hard alloy cutting sample tools in a muffle electric furnace with open atmospheric air access. Resource of trouble-free operation of cutting tools depends on intensity of diffusion processes in zone of contact with processed material. With increase of specific inductive capacitance of polyoxide mass its dielectric characteristics are reduced, and screening capacity of contact surfaces against solid-phase chemical interaction increases. Service life of hard alloy cutting tools belonging to application group P at processing of materials, which cause intensive diffusion wear, increases.
EFFECT: use of the method is based on close correlation between dielectric properties contact polyoxide structures, formed on contact surfaces of hard alloy cutting tools and their wear resistance.
