FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical diagnostics and aims at predicting risk of developing primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). In Russian individuals, natives of Central black earth region is determined age, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, presence of burdened family medical history, presence of accompanying non-infectious eye diseases, microvascular changes in conjunctiva, degree of pigmentation angle of anterior chamber, peripheral venous blood is sampled and DNA recovery, VEGF-A c.-958C>T (rs833061) gene polymorphism is analysed, after which value of discriminant values Dp and Dk are determined by formulas. In case if Dp is more than Dk, risk of POAG is predicted.
EFFECT: invention provides early diagnosis of POAG and enables to generate risk groups of this disease.
