FIELD: medical diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medical diagnostics. Venous blood is taken, DNA is isolated from peripheral venous blood, and genetic markers CDKN2B-AS1 and LOXL1 are analyzed. A high risk of developing POAG in men is predicted by the identification of a combination of genotypes rs2165241 TT of the LOXL1 gene x rs4886776 GG of the LOXL1 gene x rs7865618 AG of the CDKN2B-AS1 gene x rs944800 GG of the CDKN2B-AS1 gene.
EFFECT: invention provides for obtaining criteria for assessing the risk of developing POAG in men of Russian nationality, who are natives of the Central Black Earth Region of the Russian Federation and are not related to each other, based on data on a combination of genotypes of the CDKN2B-AS1 and LOXL1 genes.
