SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for holding flange on flow meter. Sensor assembly (5) for a fluid meter (100) is described. Sensor assembly (5) comprises sensor assembly body (6) and one or more circumferential grooves (303) formed in sensor assembly body (6). Two or more retaining components (105, 106) are detachably coupled together around at least one of one or more circumferential grooves (303) with a portion of two or more retaining components engaging circumferential groove. Flange (104) is also provided that surrounds at least a portion of sensor assembly body (6) and is retained around sensor assembly body (6) by first and second retaining components (105, 106).
