FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing linear polymers with an amide terminal group or star-like structure with amide core of formula (I) by ring opening. Method comprises reacting excess lactide monomer or lactide and glycolide monomers with an initiator in a solvent. Catalyst is then added and reaction mixture is then neutralised. Initiator used is an amine or amino alcohol, which contains at least one functional group of primary or secondary amine. Catalyst used is a non-nucleophilic base containing at least one neutral nitrogen atom with sp2-hybridisation.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to control process of producing polymers, as well as regulation of fluidity and crystallinity of polymers.
