FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthodontic dentistry, and is intended for diagnostics and assessment of dentoalveolar anomalies in 6 - 11-year old children. Orthopantomography (OPMG) is performed and obtained image is analysed. As criteria used are: order of teeth eruption in correspondence with age norms, absence of dental germs, dystopia of germs, teeth retention, dental anchylosis, presence of diastemas between germs, signs of narrow apical basis on convergence of canine germs, deformation of lower jaw angle, shortening of lower jaw branches. Each deviation is given one point, with summing up points for each jaw. Degree of mineralisation of germs of permanent teeth is determined by T.A.Tochilina's method. Index of germ formation (IGF) is calculated. The result is compared with age norm. If IGF is higher than age norm, and value of sum of upper jaw teeth is higher than of the lower one, immaturity of upper jaw is diagnosed. If IGF value is higher than age norm, and value of the sum of lower jaw points is higher than value of the sum of upper jaw, excessive development of lower jaw is diagnosed. If IGF value is lower than age norm, and value of the sum of upper jaw points is higher than the sum of lower jaw points, fact of excessive growth of upper jaw is diagnosed. If IGF value is lower then age norm, and value of the sum of lower jaw points is higher than value of the sum of upper jaw points, immaturity of lower jaw is diagnosed. As age norm taken is value of index of germ formation for 6-year old boys and girls respectively 6.2 and 5.8; for 7-year old boys and girls respectively from 4 to 6.2 and from 4.2 to 5.8; for 8-year old ones respectively from 4 to 5.3 and from 4.2 to 5.6; for 9-year old boys and girls respectively from 4.4 to 5.4 and from 5.6 to 8.2; for 10 years respectively from 4.47 to 7 and from 5.4 to 8.2; from 11 years respectively 7 and 5.4.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to realise early diagnostics of forming dentoalveolar anomaly in children, namely in 6-11-year old children due to performance of OPMG and analysis of the obtained image.
