FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for screening of flux of infrared (IR) radiation from high-temperature surface to low-temperature or person. Device for thermal shielding of high-temperature surfaces has multilayer structure consisting of heat-insulating base and heat-reflecting layer. Base is made of glass fibre, in form of two parallel plates connected to each other with stiffness ribs in form of cylinders, truncated cones or curved strips. Stiffness ribs are made from same material as plate to make air cavity between them. Heat-reflecting layer is made from foil and is glued to base on side of high-temperature surface.
EFFECT: using invention improves heat insulating properties and reduced specific weight.
