FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for pyrolysis of alkanes, including input of a stream of gaseous alkanes C2-C4 into pyrolysis pipe, external heating of pipe with heating of stream of alkanes by pipe walls, input of one or more cross section-limited radiation beams into stream of alkanes. Into reaction mixture is additionally introduced hydrocarbons with one or more -C=C- double bonds and/or CO2, pressure range of alkanes ranges from 0.1 to 10 atm at power density of laser radiation in reaction medium higher than 10 W/cm2, temperature of reaction medium near pipe walls is not higher than 900°C; distance between boundary of laser radiation beam and wall of pipe lies in range of 0.1 cm - 10 cm.
EFFECT: use of disclosed method increases conversion C2-C4.
