FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a catalyst composition for oligomerisation of ethylene, comprising following steps: a) obtaining a first solution in a first solvent by mixing a catalyst and a modifier, where catalyst is selected from trialkyl aluminium, alkyl aluminium sesquichloride, dialkyl aluminium chloride, alkyl aluminium dichloride, where alkyl is preferably methyl, ethyl, isopropyl or isobutyl, methylalumoxane (MAO) or mixtures thereof, and where modifier is selected from ammonium or phosphonium salts type [H4E]X, [H3ER]X, [H2ER2]X, [HER3]X or [ER4]X, or HX, or RX, where E=N or P, X=Cl, Br or I, and R = alkyl, cycloalkyl, acyl, aryl, alkenyl, alkynyl or corresponding bridge di-, tri- or multiunits or ammonium or phosphonium salts based on cyclic amines; b) adding to first solution obtained at step a) compounds of chromium and a ligand to obtain a second solution; and c) optionally, mixing second solution obtained at step b) during a period of time of 10 s to 5 hours, preferably 0.5-2.5 hours. Invention also relates to corresponding device of a catalyst composition which includes first reservoir (1) containing a solution with catalyst and a modifier, second reservoir (2) containing chromium compound and a ligand, wherein first and second container (1, 2) by means of pipelines, each of which optionally has dosing pumps (4, 5), are connected to mixing device (3), which through a pipeline, optionally with dosing pump (6) is connected to oligomerisation reactor (7).
EFFECT: improved process, wherein composition is easily dosed into an oligomerisation reactor.
