FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument-making and relates to electro-optical converter. Converter includes a housing with a vacuum-tight inlet and outlet windows, photocathode based on diamond film, accelerating electrodes, a fibre-optic plate, luminescent screen and getter. On the input window, there is a thin layer of antimony and cesium compound transparent in the UV spectrum. Behind the input window is UV transparent plate with photocathode based on polycrystalline diamond film low-alloyed with acceptors applied on the side facing the luminescent screen.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling control of quantum efficiency and position of long-wavelength limit.
