FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: photocathode assembly consists of an optical window for input radiation and a photocathode in the form of a solid or mesh membrane structure based on a polycrystalline diamond film which is weakly doped with acceptors, or a solid polycrystalline diamond film which is weakly doped with acceptors with a nano- and microstructured surface, and a multialkali photocathode containing caesium and antimony, located on the rear side of an entrance optical window in the form of a film with the nanosize thickness of 10-30 nm at a distance of 0.1-1.0 mm from the receiving surface of the diamond photocathode.
EFFECT: wider spectral range of sensitivity to electromagnetic radiation.
