FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building when sealing ends of cables/ropes. Device for sealing end of metal cable consists of housing with conical channel and a self-tapping screw. Method is implemented as follows: end metal rope is introduced into cone-shaped channel of housing and then self-tapping screw is screwed in centre of end of metal cable. First end of metal rope is to be arranged with a certain ledge over end of housing, which provides self-tapping screw screwed and subsequent installation of rope drawing. After mounting drawing is cut projecting above end of housing part of metal cable. If necessary, head self-tapping screw can be cut.
EFFECT: simplified sealing end of metal rope while providing high reliability of sealing end of rope.
