FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to joints of ends of steel cables during strength tests or in operation. Method of connecting a steel cable in power loading devices of aircraft elements is characterized by that thin cable (6) is selected, based on the condition that the cross-section radius of required cable (1) is equal to three diameters of the thin cable. Then seven pieces of thin cable (6) of required length are cut and laid in parallel in a bundle or passed through casing (7). Further, the bundle of thin cables (6) is introduced into the conical cavity of sleeve (2) through the smaller base of the conical cavity. Then, the ends of thin cables (6) are fluffed up and the fluffed part is pressed to the non-fluffed part, after which the fluffed section of the cables is placed into the cylindrical mandrel and by punching or pressing it is pushed into the conical cavity of sleeve (2), then wedge (3) is driven through truncated cone (5) and plug (4) with thread is screwed in, limiting movement of conical wedge.
EFFECT: higher reliability of steel joint.
