FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for induction welding at hardening of parts of machines and mechanisms, subjected to intensive wear, particularly means of agricultural and road-building purposes. Paste contains the following component ratio, wt %: boron carbide 50-55, Ferrochromium - 35-40, powder of nickel 1-6, powder of cerium 0.4-1.2, 4-5 % aqueous solution of carboxymethyl cellulose 10-12. In making of paste the components in the specified ratios are mixed in dry form and addition of 4-5 % aqueous solution of carboxymethyl cellulose as a binding agent. Composition of a uniform layer is applied on part surface subject to abrasive wear.
EFFECT: paste increases wear resistance of built-up layer by increase in viscosity and plasticity of weld metal.
