FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in electric arc surfacing of wear-resistant alloys on parts of road machines operating under conditions of intense impact abrasive wear, for example, teeth of excavator buckets, scraper knives. Powder wire consists of low-carbon steel shell and powder charge containing components in the following ratio, wt. %: ferrovanadium 2.5–4.5; boron carbide 0.5–1.0; ferrotitanium 3.0–5.0; ferrochromium carbon 8.0–12.0; manganese 5.0–7.0; boron nitride 0.5–1.5; ferroniobium 2.0–4.0; copper 2.0–4.0; iron powder 4.0–22.5; steel shell - balance. Surfacing with flux-cored wire with this composition of the charge can be carried out in argon or under flux.
EFFECT: metal produced by the proposed flux wire has high hardness, while maintaining plastic properties at a sufficiently high level, which significantly increases wear resistance of built-up parts of road machines.
