FIELD: energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering, particularly to a method of optimising the process of coal fuel combustion in vortex furnace of power plant. Method involves using a power plant in the start-up mode to burn fine pulverised coal with particles size not exceeding 10 µm obtained in a three-chamber disintegrator, in the stationary mode - to burn regular grind coal obtained in a two-stage mill with grinding balls and an activator. Herewith in the forced-transient mode of the plant operation it is proposed, beside the fine pulverised coal and regular grind coal, to use additionally low-temperature plasma generated by a plasmatron using water vapours as plasma generating gas, and to perform control and adjustment by means of continuous monitoring of the process using a computer with a gas analyser and specialised software.
EFFECT: invention ensures significant improvement of economic and environmental parameters of coal fuel combustion process with maximum possible optimum use of its calorific capacity in all modes of power plant operation and regardless of environmental conditions.
