FIELD: processing and recycling of wastes; heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of powdery activated carbon (PAC) and coal combustion residues (CCR). Method consists in heating of at least one of spent PAC and/or CCR with extraction of at least one heavy metal from at least one of spent PAC and/or CCR and with creation of a cleaned flow and a flow of evaporated heavy metal. Flow of evaporated heavy metal is combined with water-soluble alkali-earth metal sulphide with creation of a combined flow. From the combined flow there is removed at least a part of one heavy metal. Combination can contain a combination of the flow of evaporated heavy metal with water-soluble alkali-earth metal sulphide and/or surfactant, or hyperdisperser.
EFFECT: efficient removal of heavy metals from waste of spent PAC and/or CCR, possibility of their reuse.
