FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology and can be used for non-invasive lifetime estimation of physiological condition of fishes at changing the colour of skin. For this purpose is photographed one of the functional elements of fish body at a natural lighting, obtaining colour image of this element (fin) and carry out determination of colour coordinates in the selected colour model of space L*a*b. Obtained image is transformed using colour profile generated for these lighting conditions by means of colour scale X-rite ColorCheker Passport and is stored in TIFF 16 bits per channel. In space L*a*b is performed measurement of the colour coordinates, averaged over the entire surface of the fin in the channel *a, the received values are compared with values of the norm, defined for this type of fish, season, area. At that the values exceeding indicators of norm, indicate a disease state of the investigated animal, transferring of a stress by it.

EFFECT: invention allows to carry out the non-invasive intravital monitoring of state of fishes.
