SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for fuel injection and to a method of such a device control. Result is achieved by the fact that the fuel spray device includes: the first receiving unit, which receives the first index associated with the injector behaviour at opening; the second receiving unit which receives at least one of the second indexes associated with the maximum value of the injector cyclic supply at injection, and the third index associated with fuel injection period; and a computing unit, which determines that corrosion occurred in the injector injection hole, when the first condition associated with the first index is specified, and at least one of the second conditions associated with the second index is specified, and the third condition associated with the third index.

EFFECT: technical result is development of the fuel injection device and the method of its control, by means of which it is possible to properly determine the injection hole corrosion presence in the injector due to condensed water.
