FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine (ICE) is proposed, comprising: the nozzle injecting the fuel into the ICE cylinder; the unit for obtaining fuel injection amount, receiving the amount of the fuel injected by the nozzle; the unit for producing the quantity of heat generation, receiving the quantity of heat generation of the fuel injected by the nozzle and ignited; and the control unit determining that the nozzle abnormality occurs when determining that the difference between the fuel injection amount and the reference fuel injection amount is within a predetermined range, and the fact that the quantity of heat generation exceeds the reference quantity of heat generation corresponding to the reference fuel injection amount.
EFFECT: detection of an abnormality occurring in the nozzle, corrosion occurring in the injecting nozzle opening.
