FIELD: processing and recycling wastes; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to calcium-rich industrial wastes. Processing method comprises extracting calcium ions from a suspension of calcium-rich granular particles of said wastes and aqueous ammonium nitrate to form a calcium-rich first fraction and a heavy second fraction. Heavy second fraction is separated from first fraction and calcium-rich first fraction is carbonated with a gas comprising carbon dioxide to form a suspension of precipitated calcium carbonate and aqueous ammonium nitrate. Precipitate is separated from aqueous ammonium nitrate by centrifugal means and separated heavy second fraction comprises an enriched weight percent of iron.
EFFECT: sequestration of environmentally harmful carbon dioxide, provision of conversion of said industrial wastes into valuable end products.
