SUBSTANCE: image display device includes at least one interferometric modulator, having multiple states, an excitation switch connecting at least one interferometric modulator with an excitation voltage bus when addressing by excitation addressing bus and a reset switch connecting at least one interferometric modulator with voltage reset bus when addressing by address reset bus. Each of said states corresponds to one of multiple levels of charge applied to at least one interferometric modulator and includes at least a first state and a second state. Capacity of interferometric modulator is higher in first state than in second state. Reset voltage bus is configured to set at least one interferometric modulator in first state, when connected to at least one interferometric modulator.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption.
