FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for high-precision measurement of liquid mediums flow rate in pipelines. Radio wave is directed through the a radio-transparent window in the pipeline at the angle of α to the flow direction. Reflected wave is mixed with part of the incident wave and a Doppler signal of their difference with an average frequency is identified. Herewith the radio wave is fed from a frequency multiplier output, wich input is fed with a radio wave with frequency ƒk formed by the master oscillator frequency tuning to ensure zero phase difference between the introduced into the pipeline radio wave and the derived from it one at distance L. At the same time at the angle of α to the flow direction an acoustic wave is excited with frequency . Reflected wave is received and an acoustic Doppler frequency is identified by mixing with part of the incident wave, and the mass flow rate is determined by the radio-wave Doppler frequency and the relationship between the radio-wave and the acoustic Doppler frequencies.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of measurement.
