SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for high-precision measurement of flow rate of liquid and loose media in pipelines, in particular, for pipeline transportation of petroleum products, liquefied gases and etc. Increasing in the accuracy of the measurement is achieved by the fact that the radio wave microwave radiation is directed through the radio-transparent window at an angle to the flow, then the reflected waves are received and transmitted to the first input of the first mixer, part of the power of the radiated signal is directed to its second input and the first Doppler signal is extracted. In addition, part of the received signal is phase-shifted by π/2 and transmitted to the first input of the second mixer, while a part of the power of the radiated signal is directed to its second input, a second Doppler signal is extracted, and the mass flow is calculated by the maximum of the cross-correlation function between the first and second Doppler signal.
EFFECT: improvement of measurement accuracy.
