Measuring by percussion the dimensions of liver along a median-clavicular line using the method of M.G. Kurlov. Calculating a prognostic index (K) using formula. Determining the risk of developing AIDS in HIV-infected patients with underlying antiretroviral therapy for one year. K is below 3 units, risk of AIDS development during the next year is low. K is within 3≤to≤4 units, risk of AIDS development during the next year is average. K is higher than 4 units, risk of developing AIDS during the next year is high.

EFFECT: method enables simple, noninvasive and precise prediction of risk of developing AIDS in HIV-infected patients by taking into account the most optimal parameters.
