FIELD: nuclear power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to technology and equipment for dehydration of radioactive ion-exchange resins for their immobilization into monolithic structures. Method for dehydration of radioactive ion-exchange resins includes feeding ion-exchange radioactive resins with water to a receiving tank, preliminary dehydration of ion-exchange radioactive resins with their subsequent drying and unloading of dried ion-exchange radioactive resins. Dehydration of radioactive ion-exchange resins is carried out by spinning the pulp clockwise in the separator and separating the by using gravity, vibration and tilt angle at a temperature not exceeding 90°C. Pre-dehydrated radioactive ion-exchange resins are actively mixed using a helical screw with multidirectional curved blades. The unit is equipped with a separator for preliminary dehydration of the pulp of ion-exchange radioactive resins, connected by a pipeline with a receiving tank and located above the thermal drying chamber, and equipped with a mesh filter, as well as a spring mechanism.
