FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon material 107 is mixed with a flow of steam 108, heated in heater 110 and delivered into primary conversion 101 to obtain first product gas 113, oxidised with air 114 in secondary conversion apparatus 102. Obtained product gas 117 is fed into reactor 103 for conversion of carbon monoxide. Converted gas is washed in column 104 for removal of carbon dioxide and fed into methanation reactor 105 to obtain conditioned synthesis gas 10, consisting mainly of hydrogen and nitrogen with ratio H2:N2 less than 3, which is then compressed in main section 130 and fed into high-pressure ammonia synthesis circuit 106. Ratio H2:N2 in gas material 12, fed into catalytic reactor unit 160, is maintained at level of 2.9-3.1 by mixing flow 11 and flow 18 enriched with hydrogen. On suction side of circulator 140 purge gas flow 15 is collected and in hydrogen extraction section 150 using a PSA (pressure swing absorption) molecular sieve; TSA (temperature swing absorption) molecular sieve or cryogenic separator, gaseous flow 16 is obtained, which is enriched with hydrogen, which is mixed with unreacted gas 13 to produce inlet 17 flow directed into circulator 140.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method for production of ammonia.
