FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method for growing sweet corn consists in that prepared seeds are sown into plastic vessels of volume of at least one litre at depth of 3…5 cm and soil temperature18…20 °C. After sowing, irrigation is carried out in amount of 300 ml per vessel, and vessels are covered with film in order to accelerate sprouting. Seedlings are grown in hothouse to 20…30 days of age, and conditioning is performed a week before planting out. During period of growing, at least two 10…12 cm depth cultivations are performed, wherein first one, in phase of 8 to 9 leaves, and second, in phase of panicle eject, in order to form air support roots and prevent drowning. In case of spring frost risk, open corn plantings are covered with material of lutrasil or acryl type.

EFFECT: invention allows to produce guaranteed sweet corn yields in Middle Ural areas in form of cops with milk-wax ripeness of grain.
