SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video data encoding with possibility of saving significant for PPG (photoplethysmographic image) data. Device (10, 10', 10”) for video encoding is presented, comprising: selection module (20, 20') for selecting input video data (100) of one or more regions of analysis (101), providing strong PPG signal, first unit (30, 30') for encoding of one or more regions of research (101) of input video data (100) according to determined encoding scheme with first adjustment of encoding for saving of significant for PPG data in coded one or more regions of research, second unit (40, 40') for encoding (103) of remaining parts of input video data (100) according to determined coding scheme with second adjustment of encoding and unit (50) of unification of encoder for uniting of encoded one or more regions of research (102) and encoded (104) remaining parts input video data into output encoder video stream (105).

EFFECT: technical result consists in compressing video data using standard compression means with losses and saving of data for PPG signal extraction after video data decoding not requiring large volume of additional data.
