SUBSTANCE: this invention proposes electrochemical modules for determining content of an analyte in a biological fluid sample. Electrochemical module according to the invention comprises a first substrate with the first conducting layer on it, forming the first node, note here that said assy has the first width and the first length, the second substrate with the second conducting layer on it, forming the second assy, wherein said assy has second width smaller than the first width, and the second length, which is the same as the first length, the first and the second separating gaskets, located between the first and second assies and supporting said assemblies; chamber formed between the first and the second assies and configured to receive fluid sample, at that, chamber contains a reagent, capable of reacting with analitom contained in liquid sample; and the third separating gasket, which is adjacent to the first or the second separating gasket, at that the surface of the third separation gasket has a conducting layer in current-conducting contact with the second conducting layer. Also disclosed is the second version of the electrochemical module, in which the first conducting layer comprises the first and the second parts arranged with a gap between them, at that, the third separating gasket is in contact with at least part of the gap and is in the current-conducting contact with the first and the second conducting layers.
EFFECT: invention enables to form smaller sensors with reduced cost.
