SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel compound of general formula (I), in which: R₁ and R₂ represent: OH, hydrogen atom, C₁-C₆ alkyl radical, C₁-C₆ alkoxy radical or a halogen atom; R₄ is: COR₅, pyranose radical which can be partially or completely acetylated; R₅ is: C₁₀-C₂₄ alkyl radical or C₁₂-C₂₄ alkenyl radical containing at least one unsaturated bond, mainly from 1 to 6 and preferably from 1 to 4; R₆ and R₇ are: -simultaneously a hydrogen atom or methyl radical, or when R₆ is a hydrogen atom, R₇ is a C₁-C₆ alkyl radical or phenyl, unsubstituted or substituted with one or more C₁-C₃ alkoxy radicals or one or more halogen atoms, to pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable salts thereof and methods for preparation thereof.

EFFECT: compound of formula I may be used as a therapeutic or cosmetic active ingredient for depigmentation of skin and/or hair, for treatment or prevention of skin aging or inflammation, as well as to pharmaceutical or cosmetic compositions based thereon.
