SUBSTANCE: cruise control system with control of rated speed, which require from vehicle engine system design speed Vref, which can differ from selected preset speed Vset. System comprises unit of correction, which is configured to allow adjustment of preset speed Vset when design speed Vref differs from preset speed Vset. Correction is partially based on current speed Vpres and on user input of cruise control system. Also disclosed is method of controlling rated speed.
