FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroerosive alloying, and can be used for surface treatment of pulse mechanical seals elements (PMS). The method of forming a wear-resistant coating on the working surface of a steel ring of a pulse mechanical seal involves processing of a pulse mechanical seal working surface with the method of electroerosive alloying with a graphite electrode at a discharge energy in the range of 0.036-4.6 J and sequential formation of layers of a combined electroerosive coating of alloy type VK8-Cu - alloy VK8. In addition, the first and the last layers of the hard alloy VK8 are applied at a discharge energy of Wu=0.1 J, and copper at Wu=0.04 J.
EFFECT: improvement of parameters of the working surfaces of steel rings of pulse mechanical seals, affecting on its wear resistance.
