FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radars and is intended for measuring radar cross section (RCS) of radar targets on smaller models. Plant comprises a transmitter, a separator of emitted and received signals, a complex variable waveguide load, a secondary model radiation field signal receiver and a receiving-transmitting antenna, an anechoic chamber (AEC), in the end of which there is an antenna with its electrical axis aligned with the longitudinal axis of the AEC. Elevator of the model support is fixed on the floor under the AEC anechoic zone able to displace the support along the diagonal of a cube with the rib size equal to the quarter wave length of emitted by the antenna signal. Separator of the emitted and received signals is made in the form of a double waveguide tee-piece. Output of the transmitter is connected to input of one H-arm of the waveguide tee, the output of the other H-arm is connected to input of the attenuator, the output of which is connected to input/output of the complex matched load, besides, the output of the E-arm of the waveguide tee is connected to input of the receiver.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility to measure the RCS of the model at the noise amplitude exceeding that of the measured model signal.
