SUBSTANCE: measuring device for measuring effective scattering area of radar target models includes: transmitter, double tee, variable complex load, receiver, receiving-transmitting antenna, model support, compensating support equivalent to the model support, reflection from which are compensated itself, acoustic chamber, rear wall of which is installed at an angle of more than 45° to electrical axis of the antenna, and a lift, on which two supports are rigidly installed. Lift provides lifting and moving two supports as single part along the length of the diagonal of the cube with the rib of quarter wavelength of incident field length.
EFFECT: technical effect consists in increase of measuring accuracy of scattering cross-section targets models due to reduction up to minimally possible value, total coherent interference caused by mirror reflections from acoustic chamber walls, target supports and diffuse scattering of incident field.
