FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to ophthalmology and pharmacy. Disclosed is a composition in the form of an emulsion for local administration to an eye to treat an eye disease. Composition contains a physiologically effective amount of testosterone from 0.01 % (wt/wt) to 0.3 % (wt/wt) and castor oil.
EFFECT: technical result: improvement of eye emulsion tolerance as compared to a composition containing castor oil without testosterone.
