FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and method of removing gases from an aluminium electrolysis cell with baked anodes. System for removal of gases from aluminium electrolysis cell, comprising anode beam-collector, detachable cover for performing process operations and having at least one gas outlet opening of gas discharge pipe in upper part of end of anode beam, comprises means for removal of standardised amount of gases during normal operation of electrolytic cell, means for removal of increased amount of gases with removal of one or more covers, wherein anode beam-collector is integrated into single collector with adjacent electrolysis cell and comprises at least one element for regulation of volume of removed gases, located in gas discharge pipe, and at least one sensor for measuring fixed parameter in accordance with given process modes. Removal of increased volume of gases is controlled by control elements depending on performance of technological operations, wherein values of parameters are measured by means of installed sensors, said values are recorded, volume of removed emissions is determined, then control elements are moved into a position from 0° to 90°.

EFFECT: reduced emissions of fluorine, higher efficiency of cover of electrolysis cell and reduced capital and operating costs for gas cleaning equipment and system of gas ducts.
