FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, specifically to methods for determining copper, and can be used when determining in natural water and drinking water, as well as in process solutions. Method includes preparing a solution of copper(II), extraction of copper(II) using a membrane with immobilised reagent, further separation thereof from solution, measuring an analytical signal and estimating content of copper(II). Membrane used is a polymethacrylate matrix with immobilised neocuproine, analytical signal used is light absorption at (450±20) nm or visual estimation of colour intensity of optical membrane. Content of copper(II) is estimated using a calibration curve or a visual test technique.
EFFECT: advantage of proposed invention consists in simplicity and rapidness of determining.
