FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used for measuring angle of inclination of objects relative to horizontal plane. To measure angle of deviation of object from horizontal position, a level is installed thereon and radiation flux is transmitted from radiator to light guides. Since cladding is removed from light guides, there is contact between surface of core and surrounding medium. This leads to scattering of radiation flux travelling in light guides, wherein scattering intensity increases with difference in refraction indices of core and environment. Change in distance H from position of air bubble causes corresponding change in flow, which is converted by a photodetector into an electric signal proportional to H. Obtained signal is amplified with an amplifier and transmitted to a voltage-to-code converter. Using a decoder, obtained information is decoded and output in a convenient for display. Movement of air bubble in any direction from axis of symmetry of level (at its inclination) will cause reduced scattering of radiation flux of one light guide and increase in other.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification of design, broader functional capabilities and high operational characteristics.
