FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automatics and can be used for remote control of track switches in order to determine their shape integrity. Shape of switch blade 1 is controlled under position retracted from stock rail 2. For this purpose radiation flux is brought from source 10 for example a light-emitting diode into light guide 9. In this position the gap between switch blade and magnetic core with a magnet is minimal and the value of magnetic flux at end of tube 5 of sensitive element is significant, therefore magnetic liquid 6 is located in upper part of the tube being shifted towards magnet core 4. When blade 1 is pressed to stock rail 2 this clearance is maximum and magnetic fluid 6 will be kept in the lower part of tube 5 while exposing core 7 having stripped sheath 8 at the section L. Sheath removal leads to contact between surface of core 7 with medium in tube 5. Covering the core with liquid reduces scattering of radiation flux in light guide 9, and opening increases scattering through sparse air in tube. Chipping of blade tongue 1 or its bend will lead to increase in the gap between the last one and magnet 3, which will result in reduction of magnetic flux and movement of magnetic liquid 6 downwards under action of gravity force. Scattering of radiation flux will be increased changing electrical signal at the output of photodetector 11. Signal obtained by amplifier 12 and converter 13 is transformed in logic, which indicates failure of blade shape.
EFFECT: higher reliability of controlling the shape of rail track switch, expanded functionality and improved operational characteristics of the device.
