FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting equipment, in particular, to devices for detection of fires, and can be used in explosive environment of large length, for example in a mine. Since at section L shell 3 is removed from the light guide, surface of core 2 contacts with the ambient medium. In absence of fire material 4 covering the core prevents large scattering of radiation from the core of the light guide, due to which overwhelming part of the flux from radiator 5 reaches photodetector 6 and via amplifier 7 comes to analogue-to-digital converter 8, which converts the signal into a code typical for standard conditions. In case of fire the temperature around the sensor is increased, due to which material 4 begins to melt and drain from core 2 denuding it at a certain section, that leads to scattering of the radiation flux flowing along light guide 1. Reduced flux is registered by the photodetector and displayed at the output of analogue-to-digital converter 8 with a code, which corresponds to the fire state.
EFFECT: invention aims at simplifying the design and improving operational characteristics, light flux from radiator 5 is introduced in light guide 1.
