FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in gear assemblies lubricated by lubricating grease. Gear wheel includes a body, a toothed rim with teeth and a pair of ring pads with an outer diameter equal to the diameter of the circle of tips of the toothed rim, and inner diameter that is smaller than diameter of the circle of the base of the teeth. Pads are secured at body end sections adjacent to the gear rim and abut the teeth ends but not fixed to them. Inner surfaces of the plates covering the cavities of the toothed rim in the sections where they are adjacent to the side surfaces of the teeth have cuts along the entire length of the said surfaces. Depth of cuts along the entire length is constant, and their width in the wheel rotation plane is variable directly depending on the speed of sliding on the side surfaces of the teeth. Thickness of pads in sections located between the cuts on the side of the inner surfaces of the pads is reduced by the value of a gap required between the said surfaces and end faces of the toothed rim of the corresponding gear wheel.
EFFECT: higher quality of gear wheel lubrication.
