FIELD: optical system; measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to the field of revealing position sensors. Device and method of implementing the proposed device comprises an optical measuring device for vehicle containing at least one optical transmitter, generating radiation and emits said radiation in the control area, and at least one optical receiver which receives the resultant radiation of the controlled area. Evaluation and control unit evaluates the received radiation detector for detecting objects. For optic measuring device for vehicle, which provides simplified solution switching process without manual operation and without preset motion, at least one first optical transmitter generates the first light field of preset shape on the surface of the control area by means of directed emission of the first radiation and at least one second transmitter generates the second optical field of preset shape in adjacent surrounded by first light field by emitting directed second radiation. Besides evaluation and control unit receives and evaluates the first radiation reflected light field surface of the first and second radiation reflected surface of the second light field, with the help of at least one optical receiver, wherein said unit generates output signal (SAus) in case of change of reflection of the second radiation caused by initiating object detected in the area, and an unmodified said initiating object reflection of the first radiation.

EFFECT: simplified process initiation switching without manual actuation.
