FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to a device (10) for detection of a vehicle, in particular, an aircraft (A), on an airport runway (R), in particular, on a takeoff and landing strip, a taxiway or an apron, besides, this device (10) comprises at least one radiolocating sensor (11), installed in the area of the runway (R) and arranged as capable of emitting a radiolocating beam for scanning of the spatial detection zone (E). The detection zone (E) comprises two tab-like sections (E1, E2), which stretch in the horizontal direction above the runway (R) and across the direction (V) of motion of the vehicle (A), besides, the radiolocating sensor (11) is designed for scanning of the detection zone (E) using a range of ultrahigh frequencies.
EFFECT: invention provides for higher reliability of sensors operation and application of a reliable measurement method.
