FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the method of manufacturing of a molecular sieve containing copper of the culture, to its application as catalyst for selective reduction of nitrogen oxides NOx and to the method for selective reduction of nitrogen oxides NOx in the presence of the obtained catalyst. Molecular sieve has the molar ratio of silicon dioxide to aluminium oxide less than 30 and the atomic ratio of Cu: Al of least 0.45. Molecular sieve containing copper of culture is produced by ion exchange of the said molecular sieve with ammonia solution of copper ions at the temperature of about 20 °C to approximately 35°C and pH from approximately 5 to approximately 14.
EFFECT: technical result is maintaining at least 60 % surface area of molecular sieve after exposure to the temperature of approximately 750 °C to 950 °C in the presence of up to 10 vol% of water vapor during the period of time from approximately 1 to about 48 hours.
