FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machine building and can be used for milling of flat surfaces, particularly internal parts of combustion engine . Milling method comprises using cylindrical milling tool which rotation axis is installed perpendicularly to the machined surface. Tool is displaced in direction parallel to machined flat surface upon condition of mechanical treatment of this surface in one procedure by specified thickness of material. Tool is located in one axial position relative to machined surface. At the same time rough machining, at least one intermediate finishing and final finishing is carried ot by one thickness of material. Surface machining with all cutting edges of the tool.
EFFECT: instrument longer life, higher quality of finished surface.
