SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst for cleaning exhaust gases output from internal combustion engine. Catalyst includes main material with plurality of walls inner surfaces formed by multiple through holes. Each of through holes has central axis. Holes pass through main material from first end surface to second end surface. On plurality of walls internal surfaces multiple catalytic layers are formed. Each of catalytic layers is divided into first area, running from first end surface to second end surface on specified distance, second area, running from second end surface to first end surface on specified distance and third area between the first and second regions. Catalytic layer is formed so, that distance (h1) from through hole central axis to catalyst layer inner surface in the first catalytic layer area is less, than distance (h3) from the through hole central axis to catalyst layer inner surface in the third catalytic layer area, but is more than distance (h2) from through hole central axis to catalyst layer inner surface in the second area.

EFFECT: obtaining catalyst, which provides high effectiveness of exhaust gas cleaning.
